The club's name means "the miner", and the miners of Tkibuli were never known for giving up. That same stubbornness runs through the squad: extra sessions after training, goalkeepers diving on frozen pitches in January, defenders who treat every clearance as if the season depended on it.
Strength, loyalty and perseverance are not slogans on the dressing-room wall. They are the reasons players who could have moved on stayed, why the academy keeps producing first-team footballers, and why the supporters kept coming when results were poor.
