The pick and the ball share a crest for a reason. A look at how Tkibuli's mining heritage shaped the identity, colours and values of FC Meshakhte.

Tkibuli grew around its coal mines, and so did its football club. The first Meshakhte teams were made up of miners who played after their shifts, and the black in the club colours still recalls the coal that built the town while the green stands for the hills around it.
Tradition here is not nostalgia. The handshake before kick-off, the minute of silence for the miners lost underground, the veterans' match every spring: these rituals connect today's players with the generations who wore the shirt before them.
The club's badge, its songs and even the name of the stadium end carry that heritage. Young players learn it in the academy before they learn set pieces, because a Meshakhte footballer is expected to know whose history he represents.
Modern football changes quickly, but the foundation in Tkibuli stays the same: a community that worked hard underground and now stands together in the stands.
